The Shufflin' Crew returns 25 years later

Just when you thought it was safe to watch TV without seeing a cheesy, sports-themed music video, Boost Mobile has revived one of the most ridiculous acts in all of sports. This Sunday, in a Super Bowl advertisement for the new Boost Mobile Shuffle, the phone company will trot out Mike Ditka, Jim McMahon, Mike Singletary and Willie Gault in a recreation of the Super Bowl Shuffle -- a charity-based music video by the Chicago Bears that turns 25 this year.

If you've never seen the original Super Bowl Shuffle, it's just as goofy now as it was a quarter-century ago, and I can only imagine how ridiculous its remake will look all these years later. If TV execs can screw up the Mean Joe Greene coke commercial -- which they absolutely did with Troy Polamalu -- then it's hard to have much hope for the new ad.
